Neutral Start Switch Part Number Change
Allison Transmission has announced the release of ten new neutral start switch part numbers for the AT, MT, HT, and V Series Transmissions. The new switches are slightly different in appearance, but identical in function to the current switches. The new switches will incorporate a 1-1/16" hex. The current switch uses a 7/8" hex. Both the current and new switches should be torqued to 50-60 lb ft.

New World Transmission Model
Allison Transmission has announced the availability of a new World Transmission model MD3066PR. The current model MD3060PR has not changed, and will continue to be available.

The MD3066PR is a close ratio transmission with four, five, or six available forward speeds. The "R" designation indicates an optional output retarder the same as the current MD3060PR. The "P" designation indicates the optional PTO provision. Specifying a MD3066PR will require an electronic control unit (ECU) programmed for this model only. Gear ratios and torque converters available with the MD3066PR are the same as an MD3060PR.

Model Cancellation
Allison Transmission has announced the discontinuation of the following models:

HT 741
HTB 741
HT 755 DR
HTB 755 DR

Orders for these models were accepted through September 1997, and production was stopped in December 1997. A Reliable Transmission Service representative will be glad to assist you in selecting a suitable replacement model.
